The one thing that gives me hope is that even if Trump exceeds his 75 million of fours years ago and gets, say 80 million, new voters for Harris and women will carry her over 90 million. After all Biden got 82 million and he was less popular than she is. If she can garner 10 million more popular votes she will win the electoral college. We can only hope.

You’re also ignoring all the evidence of trump underperforming every poll since Dobbs. The notion that trump will overperform based on 16 and 20 when we have literally every poll overestimating his performance in actual elections this year should give you a little pause on your doom and gloom.
Moreover, in what world is there a poll showing trump +3 in Michigan? You’re unskewing to get trump up in MI, PA, & WI is hard math to make sense of.
The oligarchs are using record profits stolen from the people, to elect the enemy of the people, while we are too poor to fund our own candidates.
It reads like the first line of a blurb for a dystopian cyber punk novel. One note on climate; renewables will NOT HELP in any meaningful way unless we have DEGROWTH. We’ve been using coal power for the last 150 years of oil use. One did not replace the other, demand simply rose to meet supply.
We need efficient use of energy, austerity for the rich, and the actual shut down of oil. That means we will most likely need nuclear as well, for at least the next century. It’s far, far safer than big oil propaganda would have you believe.
I don’t know ANYBODY backing the Harris/Walz ticket who has “abandoned their survival instincts”. I don’t know anyone who is being complacent. The people I know KNOW there’s work for all of us to do all the way to 11/5/24.
