He followed this huge mistake with another one that may be even bigger: berating Michelle Obama for making “really nasty” comments against him in her last speech. It definitely had that “attack on women, especially the black ones” signature of his on it. Women love Michelle Obama. I can’t imagine this going well with any of them. He’s definitely changing the hearts and minds of large swaths of people, esp Latinos and Women against him.

Jabs like that hardly register at this point, since it's been his adjective of choice for any woman who falls foul of him pretty much forever. Also, his ceiling with women is already below knee level and in no danger of getting any higher, whereas his campaign purportedly had serious aspirations of growing it's share of Latino voters, which are rapidly circling the drain in the wake of the MSG fiasco.

I understand that Trump flunkies had reviewed “the man at the podium”s set list and each joke. They immediately booted 2 not-jokes. One of which used the C-word. Subject - Kamala Harris. Add that tidbit to his racist barbs at Blacks and Puerto Ricans a trifecta of racist. The problem is the flunkies are racists too and cannot tell why anyone would object.

That comedian (and I use that word in jest) was awful no matter what he said. The word is out again Republicans are racist.

He joked about how he and his black friend carved watermelons instead of pumpkins. That is an old Southern “joke” which was meant that watermelon and friend chicken were N word food. I like both but I guess that is ok because I’m white.

There were old ads and posters which featured a little black girl with braids and a heavy, big busted woman with her hair in a red bandana. Also a man with bare feet and dressed like a farmer with his pants rolled up. These hark back to the Jim Crow era. They were to confirm to whites that all Blacks were kinda dumb. I am 70 so I remember those ads even in the North. There was Original Aunt Jemima (pancake syrup) with a similar older Black woman on the plump side with an apron and her hair in a bandana pitching syrup. That image appeared on bottles for quite a long time.

These images were part of an overall campaign to keep Blacks in their place. Those types of images were everywhere. Left over racist messages still hurt.

Fuck off with this lame "concept" of an excuse.

It was it joke hence the quotes.

This was meant as a response to the CONVICTED FELON, his campaign idiots (is that redundant?), and the so-called "comedian".

Trump’s behavior toward Puerto Rico following hurricane Maria was appalling and deliberate. By undermining local efforts to rebuild, he caused a lot of beachfront property to become available to developers. I wouldn’t be surprised if both trump and kushner have money invested in new beachfront hotels in PR.

The happy news is that if the so-called “comedian” and his so-called “joke” turn out to be the straw breaking the fascist’s back, then Donald will have someone to blame for his loss, which should prove a very comforting thought for him as he rots in prison.

I think your Comey analogy is good. The timing. Bereft of intellect.

This as the true Trump. The Trump he felt fully free to “celebrate.

He&the countless people&money it took to emulate 1939 Nazi Rally thought this is what his followers wanted as much as Donald did.

I think this is Trump’s shoot someone on 5th avenue moment. Can he really get away with this?

No he couldn’t. I usually ignore stupid ppl, but at least starting with Karl Rove communicating with RNC from the White House, there has been inappropriate electronic communication.

Hillary Clinton basically just worked from home on a server more secure than the governments. No one just decides not to charge someone.

BTW Hillary Clinton is brilliant.

She would have handled Covid competently.

There would be no diplomatic embarrassment such as Helsinki

I’m familiar with the concept of a roast thanks to RuPaul’s Drag Race, and many of those jokes are bawdy and poke fun at the participants. However, it would have only been a roast if a Puerto Rican had gotten to respond (Get him, Bianca!!!!) and that performance for damn sure would have had him lip syncing for his life provided he survived going back to the Untucked Lounge with that season’s Puerto Rican queens.

That ☣️ should live long enough to lose to a black woman felt like sweet, sweet karma. That the die may finally be fully cast in that direction by him putting an exclamation point on his racism and loathing of Latino and/or Hispanic people (and this goes ALL THE WAY BACK TO HIS ANNOUNCEMENT OF CANDIDACY IN 2015!) would make it karma to the power of karma! 🎶 Karma^Karma Kamala Harris, yeah... 🎶 😉

*The GOP’s Racism Broke AI*

It’s a sad statement on the modern GOP: the party’s racism is so deeply entrenched, so endlessly sprawling, that even artificial intelligence buckles under the task of cataloging it all.

Trump’s slinking onto the political scene, back in the dim ages of the 2015s, was a massive joke. His success in hoodwinking the Republican Party into nominating him was his first real business success, and b the second part of the joke. The fluke of his being elected was another part of the joke, but, sadly, not the end. Losing the 2020 election should have been the punchline, but it was obliterated by his success in fomenting the rebellion to overthrow the government. Still not a chuckle! Now, he continues this odious joke by managing to run again, and in spite of all the indications of his fascism and racism, he has a huge club of MAGGOTS following him to regain his throne. There’s no punchline, and he’s laughing his ass off at us!

You really should read Gangsters vs. Nazis by Michael Benson. There was a judge in NYC who knew members in the Jewish Mob who were also members of the Italian and Jewish mob’s hit gang. He arranged with them to go to the German-American Bund rallies to “punch Nazis on the nose.” They couldn’t murder them, but they could beat the snot out of them. It’s a good read.

Maybe we need to organize a group to punch these neo-Nazis on the nose. Remind them that the US is not a religious cult or an extension of the Nazi party. That ALL people matter.
