I think I told you I was one of the first 100 people in my area who joined Twitter. I had over 20K tweets when I quit (the day Musk took over.) I'm finding enough good, reliable news and great people here (as someone who kept trying everything to replace Twitter even before he bought it.)
I agree that if POTUS went to BlueSky and deleted that Twitter account and other high-profile accounts (AOC, for example) followed, it would force people to go to their newly chosen platform for quotes and whatnot. I refuse to click on bird-site links in news items now, and I regularly complain to The Guardian about their use in live newsfeeds and articles.

It would save more lives if we perfect the brain dead algorithm and zap a bunch of them with it. 😂
