Right on! What also kills me is that these abortion bans or near bans have been an unmitigated disaster everywhere in the world they’re enacted. They don’t reduce abortion rates; they increase maternal and infant mortality. They fail on every measure conceivable as public policy: no or negative public health value while violating international human rights accords and medical best practices. And don’t get me started on the costs, both to individuals and the health system, of what amounts to nothing more than a grisly feel good exercise for right-wing Christians.
