Just donated to the AZ project. Every time I hear troubling news on the political front, I respond by donating to swing state Democratic parties or campaigns like these. Brick by brick, this is how we mend and expand the Great Blue Wall...
I think we are kid-gloving the middle class when we keep harping on the problems with Democratic messaging. Don’t people have their own eyes, ears and brains to figure out what’s happening in our current affairs? How about their putting it to use and recognizing the GOP and MAGA threats to the nation and society instead of expecting to be cajoled and spoon-fed by the media and campaigns?
Donated to the AZ project. Will there be any fund raisers for the "lost cause" states where someone at least FILES so the troglodytes don't run unopposed? I'm retired, fixed income, the whole nine yards, but I would contribute my pittance to keep the choice alive in the red states: it would certainly help the turnout that might eventually flip a state on elections that aren't gerrymandered into submission.
Once in a while the NYT does something we all should listen to. The story on the history of the treatment of the Palestinians is one we all need to SHOUT about; it explains what all but a few of the protestors are, in fact, protesting: a history of treatment that rivals Jim Crow. Israel the country has every right to defend itself, but it better start defending itself against its own government if it wants to survive AS a country. I spread this story as far as I can because the reaction of the media to the protests pretty much epitomizes what is dreadfully wrong with most media. In a nutshell, we are being told WHAT to think, not what the facts are we should be thinking about--no better in a lot of MSM than on Fox & Ilk.
