While I don’t disagree with anything you’ve written, I’ve got to wonder about the cachet of the Kennedy name at this point except among the very oldest voters. I mean, I’m pushing 60 and I’ve never given a crap about that clan and I can’t imagine many people younger than me do either. Teddy Kennedy’s presidential ambitions died in 1976 and not much of interest has happened among the Hyannisport crowd since.

But yeah, I guess a small percentage of 70-80 year old voters in PA, MI and WI voting nostalgically for the Kennedy name could make a difference in the outcome...

Yeah, it's a total gambit. And it fell apart as soon as it faced any light in the Democratic primary. But we're talking about .00001 of voters who make decisions by absolutely random considerations. This is one.

An interesting metaphor from last night. It was a dark night, but clear of clouds for a change. I went outside. All dark, some faint streaks like regimented cirrus clouds far above the horizon. Like the darkness so many are predicting about DJT 2.0 (or the idiocy of JFK Jr. actually getting attention politically. )

The I took pictures. Bursting with color, dark blue to purple to red green to light blue, with the streaks looking now like rays of sun.

Showing that how dark the prospect is when the sun burps depends on how we look at it and whether we use all the tools at our command to see clearly and communicate.
