I'm not sure if we can mush them toward freedom. They tend to follow the path of least resistance and inclusion is definitely not that. Most of them won't care until it affects them or someone they know. Also I've been told I'm overreacting and a doomsayer since 2016 but damn if everything I said would happen has happened. Most Americans are overly optimistic and highly allergic to talking about anything that makes them even slightly uncomfortable. I'm related to a bunch of them.
