This is a hopeful summation of “the resistance” but a few points. The resistance could be even bigger if the information about upcoming protests wasn’t spattered across many different websites. There must be a unified clearinghouse of information. Why do I have to scour the web to find protests in my area (my area is nyc by the way).
And if you think that this Mass resistance movement of the American people will accept going back to the “liberal” Corporate Democrats idea of government, which I am sure Chuck Schumer and that crowd are hoping for, you are mistaken. The eyes of ordinary Americans have been opened to what they represent, the Oligarchs. Wolves in sheep’s clothing. That is not to say that I will not go out to vote for Democrats (although I will try to defeat them in the primaries.) as everybody should. But I have not given a cent to them because, as you say their constant, harassing texts and Emails ring false. But if they win, despite the extreme rigging being attempted by the Repugnant party, I will continue to go out to protests, to hold their feet to the fire, so we can bring about a true Democracy, that actually represents the American people. Something this country has never seen. So long live the resistance! Long live the American people! Down with oligarchy in all its forms!

What has been proven, as has been effectively pointed out here, is that the one thing that can destroy authoritarian attacks on society is society fighting back en masse.
I think this is an excellent summary; I only have one reservation. Did Kamala Harris really lose the election? There are a bunch of question being brought up about exactly how much did Elon Musk meddle in the election results in the six the swing areas. We should have a hand recount there and if there is evidence of tampering, all of the ballots cast should be checked and verified.
As for the midterms, there can be no doubt that Trump and his minions are going to try to disqualify Democratic votes. They are already talking about it (check out Heather Cox Richardson’s column in today’s Substack). We must have plans to prevent such disenfranchisement from occurring. Cell phones won’t help there. We will need actions. We need to plan for every kind of intimidation and dirty trick they can generate.
So those are my two cents’ worth. Everything else you said was encouraging to read.

Progressive media or mainstream media is good at reporting facts but they need opinion celebrities that know how to talk to the middle class. A beer drinking crowd that can relate.
Their ideas, for the most part, should be much more attractive to middle class folks. But the spokespersons we have are often intellectuals and seem to focus more on civil rights than on kitchen table issues. I personally enjoy listening to these folks, like Ari Melber and Jen Psaki. But there needs to be one or more that can relate to different audiences. I can’t even think of an example of someone like that. The closest I can come is Robert Reich and Elizabeth Warren, but they are both extremely intelligent and can be perceived as to intellectual. And those two are not really media folks.
Maybe John Stewart and Stephen Colbert would be closer type personality that I envision.
It’s a conundrum. Smart people obviously have the better ideas. But they are often not the best communicators to the middle class.
Something just hit me while reading this article. They didn’t rig 2020 for Trump because the rest of the mechanism (project 2025) wasn’t ready. They allowed a free and fair election to happen but they plan to NEVER allow that again. Don’t doubt it and don’t forget it. With the state of EVERYFUCKINGTHING as it is now republicans should and will lose in a massive blue wave.
That won’t happen. Something/one will intervene just like in 2024. I’m not a conspiracy theorist. Trump and Musk have openly admitted this on multiple occasions but America simply is not ready to believe it possible. Well my friends please believe it and watch as it happens again.

Every time I go to a No Kings or other event, I notice that the reaction from passing traffic is 90% positive. My mission is to get more of those supporters to move out of their cars and into the street!
Thom Hartmann is a great source for accurate reporting and reality-based commentary and talk radio/tv. He broadcasts on Free Speech TV and is carried on various radio stations across the country. He’s on the internet. I watch MSNOW, but rely on Thom Hartmann to get more variety and in-depth, historically contextualized news.
