Having surpassed the $20,024 goal of our Flipping Arizona group, earlyworms voted 60% to 40% to pick a new state to focus on as we head into the election.
Here are the early results:
I hope you will notice two things:
1. It’s a tie between Michigan and North Carolina, two great targets for very different reasons, starting with this:
It’s the best single target for a Harris pick-up.
2. THAT’S NOT MANY VOTES! 10!!! There are almost 700 earlyworms! What’s going on!? A big part of this is my fault, of course. I had to post the poll twice, just as I posted the live event twice, which no one came to. Sorry about all that and all the emails. I'll do better.
Getting people to focus down-ballot is hard. And doing hard things is why earlyworm exists.
My initial plan was to end the poll today, Sunday the 4th. However, we need to extend it to the end of Monday the 5th. We gotta have at least 25 votes!
Also, I’m thinking of keeping the Flipping Arizona group open separately with a $40,048 goal because Arizona is too damn important, and we have too much opportunity to make change and prevent bad things there.
So if you have ideas, speak now or forever hold your peace–in the comments or direct messages. And please vote. We can only do this together!
